Supporting a participant in the New Life Transitional Program is really investing in that individual’s life. Most participants start the program in crisis, and it is our hope to get them to a place of thriving once they leave the program. There are many ways to support a client.
By sponsoring a participant monthly, you are helping to provide that little extra for them to be able to support and provide housing for their families. Your monthly support can accumulate towards the dollar-for-dollar tax credit.
The holidays can feel like a busy time full of things to get done, including getting a Christmas tree up, purchasing gifts and sending cards to our loved ones. But Christmas is ultimately a time for celebration because above all Jesus deserves to be celebrated. For families experiencing need and hardship, the celebration of Christmas can be far removed among the struggle to simply survive the day-to-day. It is a stressful time for parents and single families hoping to have the bills paid let alone provide gifts or a Christmas dinner. The holidays tend to feel this way for participants in the New Life Transitional Program, so the New Life Christmas Project was created to bring hope and celebration back to the season. Each year members from the community, including individuals, churches, groups and local businesses, participate in the project by providing Christmas presents to the participants and their families.
Gift CardsGift cards are given to participants in the program for birthdays or for things like emergency food, toiletries and such. Some gift cards are used for monthly outreaches where we treat the participants to a fellowship opportunity. That can include outings like restaurants, bowling, miniature golf, movies, zoo, children’s museum etc.
Donate gently used clothing or household items We provide resources for our clients so that their focus while in the program would be maintaining stability in their finances. Donations that are not given away to participants are sold to provide additional funding for the program. Donations can be accepted at any of our centers.
